CEP urges voters to turn out to elect new Senators on SundayThe Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) has called on voters to exercise their franchise on Sunday in the second round of legislative elections to be held in Haiti.CEP executive director, Uder Antoine, says the January 29 poll will be for the election of the Boards of Directors of the Communal Sections (CASEC), the Administration of the Communal Sections (ASEC), the city delegates as well as for the a third of the Senate.He also reminded voters, political parties, political groups and candidates that they should ensure they are aware of the polling station where they will be required to cast ballots and that the information could be obtained from the Call Center that operates daily from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm (local time).The CEP did not disclose the number of candidates contesting Sunday’s elections nor the number of voters, but had earlier indicated that campaigning will end on Friday.On Monday, President Jocelerme Privert, accompanied by Prime Minister Enex Jean-Charles, met with the various regional and international stakeholders ahead of the poll carded for Sunday.The meeting that was also attended by the head of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) Sandra Honoré, and the Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), Michel-Ange Gédéon “focused on electoral observation, security, protection of election materials, and funding.
Gas prices rose 2 cents nationwide last week, as prices in the southeast face upward pressure. Wholesale gasoline prices rose 8 cents in Florida and Georgia, and 7 cents in Tennessee. Florida gas prices averaged $2.74 per gallon on Sunday. The state average is 2 cents less than a week ago, 3 cents more than last month, and 45 cents more than a year ago.The most expensive gas price averages in Florida are in Crestview-Fort Walton Beach ($2.89), Panama City ($2.86), and West Palm Beach-Boca Raton ($2.84)The least expensive gas price averages in Florida are in Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater ($2.66), Punta Gorda ($2.66), and Orlando ($2.66)“Motorists may see higher gas prices this week,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Strong demand and lower inventories pushed wholesale prices higher. The added cost for retailers will likely be passed along to motorists. Based on demand figures, summer drivers are unfazed by higher prices at the pump this year. Fortunately, a potential 5-10 cent increase this week would still leave pump prices below this year’s highs.”Although oil prices held relatively steady last week, gasoline futures surged for the second week. The price for gasoline on the NYMEX rose a total of 16 cents during the past two weeks, pushing wholesale gas prices higher. Gasoline rose in response to EIA data that showed a dip in gasoline supply inventories, as gasoline demand reaches near record levels. Gasoline demand for the week of July 20, was the fourth highest weekly rate this year.

Overseeing the implementation of UK gambling laws DCMS expected the new FOBTs wagering regulations to be implemented within a nine-month period.Prior to the government’s decision to implement a £2 reduction, UK news sources reported that Treasury leadership had expressed concerns related to lost duties, as the Office of Budget Responsibility detailed that FOBTs machines could raise circa ‘£74 million of the forecasted £119 million in UK machine gaming duties for the period up to 2023’.However, it appears that UK betting will not be able to escape political implications, as The Times reports that the Treasury will move to impose a higher tax rate on online gambling services which will be delivered in the April 2019 budget.An online gambling tax hike is designed to compensate the exchequer for the loss of tax revenues from lower FOBT profits. At present, little is known with regards to the government’s potential new online gambling tax rate, however, the potential introduction before the lower FOBT stake mandate would see the UK Treasury benefit from a year of double taxation.

Anyone who is part of, or in particular runs, a team of any type should read this book for insight.From an autobiography point of view I would say Paul Merson’s ‘How Not to be a Professional Footballer’. It is a brilliant insight to life as a footballer playing in the 1990’s in a top, top team whilst also suffering some personal issues including addiction. I have been fortunate enough to get to know Merse in recent years and he’s a top fella. We even share the same birthday!Best Bet An interesting question for a recovered pathological gambler! There will be more matches for more clubs, with more associations represented in the group stages.“This competition was born out of ongoing dialogue with clubs through the European Club Association.”
